Freeing up space within server cabinets, the Industrial Silent Server KISS-2U Short resides in a 19”/2U rack-mount enclosure and measures 350 mm in depth. In lieu of its compact size, the server offers a flexible and scaleable layout with a choice of the company’s Mini-ITX or Flex-ATX motherboards supporting the latest 2.16 GHz multi-core processors from Intel and AMD, two PCI expansion slots, multiple Gigabit Ethernet, plus USB 2.0 and serial interfaces. Other features include hard-drive access via SATA (1 x 5.25” and 1 x 3.5” drive bays) and a MTBF of 50,000 hours. Standard operating-system support includes Windows XP/Vista and Linux.
