The SBC312 rugged, OpenVPX-compliant 3U VPX single-board computer (SBC) easily handles demanding, space- and weight-constrained environments such as unmanned vehicles. Employing an eight-core Freescale QorIQ P4080 processor, the SBC delivers substantial processing performance while maintaining power consumption and heat dissipation at the level of earlier dual core 3U VPX SBCs. The SBC312 is available in five air- and conduction-cooled ruggedization levels and is also available in VITA-48 format for two-level maintenance. It features up to 4 GB of dual channel DDR3 memory, two x4 PCI Express Gen2 links, two 1000 BaseT ports, two serial ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two SATA ports, and up to eight GPIO ports. A PMC/XMC mezzanine site is also on tap. GE FANUC INTELLIGENT PLATFORMS, Charlottesville, VA. (434) 978-5000.
