Intended for mounting on printed circuit boards in telecommunication, industrial control, wireless, computer and other distributed-power or centralized modular power applications is the Megaverter MV48-5 power module. The units convert 48 vdc (36 to 75 vdc) inputs to 5 vdc outputs at up to 400W. They do so while conforming to the industry-standard, low-profile brick package dimensions of 0.5" x 2.4" x 4.6".The supplies produce 5 vdc outputs at an efficiency of up to 87%, depending on input voltage and load current. This results in a high power density of 72W/in.3. The modules run at full power over a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C. They operate at a fixed frequency and can be paralleled for current sharing in redundant applications. Other features include current limiting and over-temperature shutdown.
