Occupying a board area of 1.8 square inches, the UEI30 isolated dc/dc converters deliver 30W of output power from a 4:1 input. Designed for PCB mounting, the series comprises eight input/output combinations delivering regulated fixed output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 Vdc and a choice of 4:1 inputs of 9 to 36 Vdc or 18 to 75 Vdc. A synchronous rectifier forward topology helps the components achieve efficiency levels up to 91% and minimal heat build-up, allowing operation without cooling fans. The open frame version has overall dimensions of 23.4 mm x 48.8 mm x 8.9 mm with an industry-standard pinout. A plastic package version is also available as an option. Other features include full magnetic and optical isolation up to 2,250 Vdc (basic insulation) and all modules have an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C with derating.
