Based on the latest IBM PowerPC 750FX processor, the PowerEngine7 single-board computer (SBC) can deliver up to 50% higher performance with 25% less power consumption than competing boards. It suits demanding conditions found in many military and severe environment applications. The PowerEngine7 features single or dual PowerPC 750FX processors operating at 733 MHz. It wrings out more than 1600 Dhrystone 2.1 Minstructions/s while drawing only 14 W for the entire board. The SBC includes up to 512 Mbytes of SDRAM memory and up to 128 Mbytes of flash memory. The 133-MHz Avignon host bridge system controller, optimized for use with the PowerPC processor, enhances the board's performance. I/O capabilities include two PMC slots, two 10/100-BaseT Ethernet interfaces, four asynchronous serial lines, and two synchronous/asynchronous serial lines. The PowerEngine 7 with single/dual PowerPC 750FX processors starts at $6133.
