Anti-Aliaing Board Allows Ideal FFT Binning Rate

The company's iDCS 1816 anti-aliasing board has been upgraded so that it can now sample at precisely 102,400 samples per second, claimed to be an ideal rate for 1024-point FFTs binning at 100 Hz. The board applies eight, onboard first-stage analog filters to its eight simultaneous inputs and combines the best analog techniques with proprietary digital-filter algorithms.
The algorithms run on two 80-MHz digital-signal processors controlled by an on-board 32-bit processor supported by 16 MB of on-board memory. The board acquires data at rates of up to 153.6 ks/s and filters signals for all forms of spectral analysis.
Users control the board from any Window 9x/NT system that contains it as well as any system on the same network. Other features include 16-bit resolution, optical isolation, cutoff frequencies up to 61.44 kHz selectable by channel, and expansion to up to 112simultaneous channels on one PC. The boards include the company's DSCview software and are priced at $3995.
