Specifically developed for applications designed with the Tangent-A4 microprocessor core, the MQX Builder lets users specify processor and board-specific information about a Tangent-A4 processor. After defining components of the processor and the default initialization information to be used by the MQX RTOS, the application will modify or generate the MQX source files that support that specific Tangent-A4 configuration. Offered as a royalty-free alternative for designing advanced real-time embedded applications, a single-project license of MQX starts at $12,500. An embedded Internet stack, the RTCS, costs $17,500 for a single-project license. PRECISE SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES INC., Ottawa, Canada. (800) 265-9833.
