Backplane Connector Has Discrete Filters

Oct. 1, 1998

With miniature ceramic tubular filters on all 96 pins, the company's DIN 41612 PCB-mounted backplane connector provides each line with a 1500-pF filter to ground through the integral ground plane that connects to the board ground rail. This assembly lets designers save space, material costs and time, while meeting the standard DIN 41612 outline. The grounding strip is toothed and sprung during construction to compress with the board ground rail when mated with the board.
