The FKN R100, described as a low-cost benchtop PCB de-paneling router, allows users to manually separate PCBs panels while producing uniform edges with quality comparable to in-line programmable router systems. The system is suitable for applications requiring routing rather than punching, for use as a backup to high-speed programmable routers for short runs, and for separating thick backplanes. Featuring a positioning collet with two fully adjustable guide pins on either side of the router bit, it cleanly separates the boards along the routing channel path. The collet also lets the operator match the contour of the cutting path around a panel. The router accommodates virtually any size board. Standard features include an adjustable spindle speed up to 35,000 rpm, adjustable router bit height, choice of five bit sizes, built-in dust extraction channel, and a safety shield. A dust extraction vacuum is optional. Price is $7,650. FKN SYSTEK INC., Framingham, MA. (508) 935-2282.
