Adding to the MINIPAK family of board-to-board power connectors is a stacked connector with customized insulator options and a DualBlade contact design that reduces connector length. The use of IDC ribbon cabling shifts signal interconnects to the upper portion of the connector to customize the insulator and reduce connector length. The blades also shorten the connector length by dividing the same level of power between the two blade sides contained within the space typically used by one power blade. Available pitch configurations include 7.5 mm, 6 mm, and 4.5 mm and pin housings are fully shrouded while socket contacts are recessed, making them finger proof. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA.
