Engineered for onboard heavy-duty transit buses, coaches, and other transportation applications, Rotron brushless DC motors exhibit an operational lifespan up to 60,000 hours. The motors are available in two standard frame sizes, 47 and 64, and employ electronic commutation to operate virtually maintenance free. Both motor types integrate rare-earth magnets for a high torque-to-weight ratio, accept voltage inputs of 12, 24, 37, 74, 90, and 110 Vdc, and offer protections against reverse polarity and voltage surges. Additionally, both motor types offer custom shaft and mounting configurations plus winding variations to meet exact speed, torque, and/or voltage points.
