Consisting of a carrier board and four COM Express modules, the RadiSys Procelerant CE is the first in a series of small form factor computing systems based on COM Express. The modules and carrier card form a single module measuring 90 mm x 125 mm. The CE760, CE738, CE370, and CE373 COM Express modules are based on their respective processors: the 2-GHz Pentium M 760, 1.4-GHz Pentium M 738, 1.5 GHz Celeron M 370, and the 1-GHz ULV Celeron M 373. They support up to 1 GB of DDR2 DRAM and include analog VGA, LVDS, and SDVO interfaces, AC'97/Azalia audio interfaces, Gigabit Ethernet, plus PCI Express and PCI support. The carrier board is a FlexATX form factor featuring x16 PCI Express or dual DVI and SVGA capability. It also includes a x1 PCI Express slot and PCI Express Mini Card slot, two PCI slots, LVDS display support, four SATA interfaces, IDE interface, GPIO header, quad USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, I2C EEPROM, RS232 header, and AC'97 jacks. Available in July, pricing for the Procelerant CE starts at $489 each in small quantities. RADISYS CORP., Hillsboro, OR. (800) 950-0044.
