Designed for systems where the increasing number of boards are sharing less space, the Mini Optical Fiber Network Saddle On Base (MOFNSB) is a miniature version of the original Optical Fiber Network Saddle On. The entry point is said to allow almost no resistance to loading based on nominal diameters, placing little to no stress on the optical fiber. The low profile also allows for increased airflow over the board, allowing boards to be placed closer together. This version comes with an adhesive backed base for placement of the device at any point. Targeted applications are in the computer, datacomm, telecomm and electronics industries.
