Suitable for a myriad of applications, the CS517x family of boost regulators require few external components, preserving valuable board real estate. These integrated regulators include an on-board 1.5A power switch, a 270 kHz (CS5171 and CS5172) or 540 kHz (CS5173 and CS5174) switching frequency, thermal shutdown, and a quiescent supply current of 10 µA in shutdown mode. The devices support boost, flyback, forward, inverting or SEPIC power supply topologies and are pin-for-pin compatible with other switching regulators currently on the market. Price is $1.59 each/10,000.
