Seeking to help bring beginning and student engineers up to speed in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) tools, Circuit Creator Tutor software provides a variety of CAD learning tools, including those for pc board (PCB) layout editors and schematic design and capture applications with a built-in automatic router.
The package also includes a 400-page student workbook and an instructor’s manual. The workbook is said to explain, in depth, each operation from schematic entry to creating a symbol and PCB layout. It also includes review questions at the end of each chapter, with the instructor’s manual providing the answers.
Other features include an expandable library of over 25,000 components that employs user-defined symbols, object-oriented parts and symbols with DeMorgan equivalents, rotation and mirroring of parts, and true bezier curves. Available in two versions, Circuit Creator Std costs $295, while a site license for Circuit Creator Tutor Pro is priced at $695.
