Maintaining constant vigilance in the interest of saving board real estate, the M-Series card-edge connectors are available in sizes nine to 100 and employ what is called a uniquely shaped lead design that allows the connector to accept a wide variety of printed-circuit boards. They employ rugged stainless-steel mounting brackets that mechanically secure the connection to reduce stress on solder joints. Hardware options include both fixed jack nuts and turning jackscrews, making them suitable for flex circuit applications. Other features include lead organizers and four to 40 threaded mounting holes. Also, the connectors meet or exceed the performance requirements of MIL-DTL-83513, including temperature and shock and vibration performance, as well as the out gassing requirements of NASA GSFC EEE-INST-002. Pricing starts at under $1 per contact. AIRBORN, Addison, TX. (512) 863-5585.
