Cases Accommodate Membrane Keyboards

Sept. 1, 1999

Designed with a recessed, 0.04" deep top panel to allow membrane keyboards to sit flush and provide an attractive, snag-free layout, these additions to the Shell case series are easy to hold yet robust with a 0.12" wall thickness throughout. Sizes vary from 4.49" x 2.83" x 1.30" to 7.48" x 5.43" x 1.77" and are available with or without battery compartments- the compartments accept 9V or 1.5V AA cells. The versions without battery compartments can also be sealed from dust and water to the international rating IP65, using the accessory sealing ring kit. The two-part, tongue-and-groove construction on the top and base sections provides strength, accurate alignment and easy assembly. Standard material is off-white with other options including RFI/EMI shielding, silk screen printing, and more.
