Geared for harsh environments, the E200II, SE/SE2, and P44/P55 series CCFL inverters are fully vacuum encapsulated to provide maximum resistance to shock, vibration, and humidity. For better packaging, only the pins are exposed so only the bottom of the board is a high-voltage concern. The inverters operate at typical efficiencies from 80% to 85% and employ custom, self-shielding magnetics. Measuring 39.7 mm x 32 mm and 15.3 mm in height, the E200II powers one or two CCFLs with up to 8W of power. The 75.7 mm x 19.1 mm SE/SE2 series measures 10.66-mm high. The SE series provides up to 5W for single-CCFL backlights while the SE2 handles 2-lamp configurations. The larger P44 series delivers a start voltage up to 2.4 kVRMS and accepts a boost current for cold starts. Operating temperature range is -30ºC to +85ºC. Designed to power mid-size to large LCDs backlit by one to four CCFLs, the P44 measures 25.4 mm x 65.3 mm x 17.5 mm. Prices start at $8.55 each in volume. ENDICOTT RESEARCH GROUP INC., Endicott, NY.
