Groomed for compact portable electronics, the NUS3116 charging and power switching circuit integrates a main battery switch, wall charging switch, and a USB charging switch into a DFN-8 package measuring 9 mm x 9 mm. The main power switch is rated for 12V and 6.2A and employs a single P-channel MOSFET to handle the main battery switch function and two low-saturation PNP transistors to handle dual-channel charging elements. With a maximum on resistance of 40 mO, the main switch MOSFET minimizes power losses during battery operation. Price for the NUS3116 is $0.80 each/3,000. ON SEMICONDUCTOR, Phoenix, AZ.
