Electronica 2010 – The result of collaboration between semiconductor makers Ramtron International and austriamicrosystems, the MaxArias Wireless Memory kit exploits F-RAM technology to evaluate third-generation, data-rich automatic identification applications. The evaluation kit’s board is about the size of a standard business card and employs austriamicrosystems’AS3992 UHF radio frequency identification reader, firmware, and the MaxArias wireless memory device. The evaluation kit allows quick testing of mobile systems for high-volume data collection apps such as manufacturing and maintenance history, asset tracking, and smart-utility metering. The AS3992 UHF Gen 2 Reader chip is an integrated analog front end providing protocol handling for global ISO18000-6b/c 900MHz RFID reader systems. RAMTRON INTERNATIONAL CORP., Colorado Springs, CO.
