Components: Configurable PLCs Come In Small Form Factors

The TC7 board-type programmable-level controllers (PLCs), available in models with dimensions as small as 90 by 60 mm, easily can be configured for a variety of applications. They use ladder-language programming and include two standard thermistor inputs. Also incorporated are eight I/O ports and two analog inputs. A control panel interface allows for seven-segment LEDs (seven digits maximum), a single LED output (eight numbers maximum), and key switch input (16 numbers maximum). The control panel is sold separately. The standard TLC7 costs $50 each in 1000-unit lots and is available in four to six weeks.
