A new wire-to-board connector has been designed for plasma display panels, LCD monitors, notebook PCs, PDAs, cellular phones and other small electronic equipment. The GH connector is polarized and has positive locking when mating to headers, including audible click or tactile feedback when mated. Fork-shaped header contacts are supported by grooves on the housing walls designed to prevent deformation. These contacts are easily inserted onto the housing with low insertion force. The GH disconnectable, crimp style connector comes in two through 15 circuits rated 1.0A AWG #26 at 50V ac/dc. Wire sizes AWG #30 to #26 are accommodated. Insulation O.D. is 0.8 mm to 1.0 mm. Temperature range is –25°C to +85°C, including temperature rise in applying electrical current. Header plating is lead free and complies with European RoHS directive. Headers are provided on embossed tape for automatic insertion equipment. JST CORP., Waukegan, IL. (800) 947-1110.
