Control Panel Accepts Membrane Keyboards

Dec. 1, 1999

The latest in the firm’s Motec desk case series is a sloping control panel with dimensions of 9.25" x 6.14" x 4.33" that is well-suited for mounting keyboards or polycarbonate labels in the recessed area on the front that has dimensions of 8.43" x 3.54" x 0.05". This panel has a viewing angle of 25° to maintain the attractive appearance of the case and aid in operation of the unit. The sloping panel is assembled to the case using grooves in the front of the top and base moldings. With the panel fitted to the base, installation of the electronics including connection of the control elements, e.g., switches, displays and so forth is easily performed. Once complete, the top panel is inserted and locked into position.
