For designers of ISAbus requiring interfaces to flat panel displays, the CDS545 controller card can be used to run color and monochrome, active and passive LCD screens with 8- to 24-bit interfaces. The card supports flat panel resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 and non-interlaced CRT monitors with resolutions up to 1024 x 768. Hardware windows acceleration includes a 32-bit graphics engine, three operand ROPs, color expansion, hardware line drawing and hardware cursor. True color and hi-color display capability supports resolutions up to 640 x 480. Colors are converted up to 64 gray shades for monochrome panels.
