cPCI Bridge Offers Hot Swap Capability

Aug. 1, 1999

Optimized for cPCI applications, V320USC v.B0 Hot Swap Ready PCI controller provides the on-chip bias voltage needed to meet PICMG hot-swap specs. Eliminating about 40 external components, the device saves valuable board real estate, which is especially significant in 3U cPCI form-factor boards. The cPCI bridge provides advanced features such as direct support for 32-/64-bit RISC processors (MIPS and SuperH), 640 bytes of on-chip FIFO memory, two scatter/gather DMA engines, PCIbus power management Interface Specification Version 1.0, SDRAM controller, 3.3V operation, and 5V tolerant inputs. Applications are MS Windows CE, telecommunications, industrial control and networking.
