Said to be the industry's first 1U (1.75") high CompactPCI (cPCI) enclosure, the rack-mount unit can accommodate one dual-slot single-board computer (SBC) or a one-slot SBC and one peripheral board. Boards are inserted through the rear of the enclosure, leaving the front panel free of cabling and providing space for a logo. Targeted applications include telecomm and Internet equipment. The internally-mounted power supply furnishes all of the required cPCI voltages, and an on-off switch with AC input is located on the rear panel. In addition, the enclosure's hot swap-compatible backplane has two slots, and a special backplane and cable are used to connect the CPU board's parallel port signals to three user-programmable LEDs on the front panel. The enclosure comes with rack-mount ears for mounting in a 19" rack, or with rubber feet for use on tabletops. Pricing is $495 each in OEM quantities.
