D-Sub Connectors Use Chip Cap Filter

Jan. 1, 2002

The Series 100 D-sub connectors incorporate chip capacitors, surface-mounted on an integrated board for filtering. Their 0.318" or 0.59" footprints allow them to be used as drop-in replacements for unfiltered designs. Capacitance values include 50, 100, 180, 220, 470, 820, 1,000, 1,500, 2,200, 5,600 and 4,700 pF with an insulation resistance of 500 M½. Features include a dielectric withstand voltage of 700 Vdc for 5s and a current rating of 5A. The connectors are available in nine-, 15-, 25- and 37-position male and female contacts and are compatible with metal-shell cable connectors.
