D/A Boards Have Programmable Output Gain

Sept. 1, 1999

With four or eight channels, the LPT8DA8 board provides 8-bit digital-to-analog conversion outputs. These output voltages are scaled versions of either the 2.560V on-board precision reference or a selected external value. With the addition of jumpers at the desired channels, programmable gain scaling of input signals is possible with gains ranging from zero to 16 in 256 steps. DAC or programmable gain functions are jumper-selectable. This board has a DB25 female connector and 26-pin header strip for analog outputs, inputs and reference selection. It supports the LPTek mezzanine bus.
