DAC Eyes Limited Space Apps

Dec. 1, 2000

Designed for DVD, AV, car audio and digital musical instrument applications, the AK4382 is a 112-dB, 192-kHz, 24-bit D/A converter that provides high-performance audio where board space is limited. Housed in a 16-pin TSSOP, the chip requires few external components and includes on-chip full differential outputs, built-in de-emphasis filter, soft mute, left and right independent zero detection pins, in- dependent digital ATT, and low power consumption. Low-end to mid-range audio devices such as DVDS/DVD-audio players and AV amps are targeted apps for the chip.
