Debuting in PC/104 and PC/104+ configurations, the IE-DAS integrated data-acquisition (DAQ) systems address embedded or portable applications such as military, communications, distributed control, security and surveillance, and semiconductor manufacturing. A complete system comes in a rugged steel enclosure with threaded inserts for panel, DIN-rail, and rack-mount installations. Each supports a stack of up to four PC/104 boards, including the CPU. A basic system includes a 300 MHz Pentium EBX CPU and standard peripheral ports, which include a VGA port, keyboard and mouse ports, dual USB ports, two 10/100 Base-T Ethernet interfaces, and one RS-232/485 plus two RS-232 ports. Other features include an external power supply to reduce heat and noise within the enclosure, a reset switch, and system-status LEDs.
