Designed for use with STMicroelectronics's ST7 family of microcontrollers, the inDART-ST7 series of in-circuit emulators and debuggers currently support the ST72CXXX, with support for the ST72FXXX and ST7LITEX devices soon to follow. The debuggers take advantage of the integrated development environment (IDE) and in-situ programming (ISP) feature inherent to the MCUs to program the controller's flash memory. The ISP allows users to update flash program memory when the device is plugged to the evaluation board.
The IDE enables programs to be executed and stopped when desired while viewing the memory contents. And it can step through and examine code at the C source and assembly instruction levels.
