The Motion Control Developer's Kit for the PCI bus includes a PCI motion-control board with a Pilot or Navigator chip set. The kit also includes the appropriate cables, manuals, a CD-ROM with the company's C-Motion Library, and a Pro-Motion graphical user interface (GUI).
Design engineers can use this kit to evaluate and develop applications with the Navigator multi-axis motion-control chip set or the Pilot single-axis motion-control chip for brushed, stepper, and microstepper applications. It supports the full feature set of the Navigator and Pilot chip-level products, including an advanced PID filter, s-curve, electronic gearing, limit switches, and I/O per axis. With the Navigator MC2340 chip set installed, the kit can control up to four axes of brushless motors and provide onboard commutation for each axis. Multiple Developer Kit PCI boards can be installed and synchronized to within 10 µs. The PCI Developer's Kit is easily programmed using dialog boxes and point-and-click functionality through Pro-Motion.
