The company has expanded its line of development systems with an evaluation board that supports Motorola's MC9S12 and HC12 microcontrollers (MCUs). Compatible with industry-standard C compilers, the board promises users flexibility in the manner in which they learn how to program these popular MCUs.
Application suitablility can be evaluated as hardware for a test system or as a standard module. The board supports both single-chip and expanded modes and, using the proper connectors, can operate solely with the MC9S12 or with the company's debugger or in-circuit emulator. And it also includes: LEDs, DIP switches and push switches for I/O simulation; RS-232, LIN and several CAN interfaces; and a wire-wrap field. In addition, an expansion plug can be used to connect to custom, external circuitry.
