The AT90 series of digital attenuators with integral TTL/CMOS ASIC drivers claims to improve insertion loss and attenuation accuracy in systems that require a low-profile, high-density multi-chip module solution. Developed to provide a variety of dynamic range and step size options for multi-mode transmit and receive systems, the family of products includes single supply 5V and dual-supply ±5V devices that operate over a wide frequency range with 15.5 dB, 31.5 dB and 50 dB attenuation in 0.5 dB or 1 dB steps. Applications include all gain control and amplitude/power leveling circuits common to communications applications. Housed in surface-mount FQFP-N packages and available in prototype and production volumes, pricing for the devices starts at $6.58 each/10,000. Evaluation boards are also available.
