Originally designed for use in automotive audio systems, the EPS1D-F19-AE0036 digital contacting encoder features a momentary push switch. The device offers performance of up to 36 pulses/rev., a life of 50,000 shaft revolutions, and an operating temperature range of from -40°C to +125°C.
Using a FR4 substrate with single-pass dielectric (SPD) technology, the encoder/switch is said to provide superior electrical connections for through-hole plating processes. Other features include a 0.025"-square terminal to permit automatic insertion of the device on pc boards and a snap-in mounting design to secure the device to the boards. Price: $2.14 each/10,000.
