DIMM Connector Supports DDR266 SDRAM

Sept. 1, 2000

This new DIMM connector is designed for use with the Double Data Rate (DDR), 184-position DIMM SDRAM, as well as the new standard DDR266 SDRAM. It is a vertical connector having 184 contacts on 1.27-mm centerlines. Its straight plug-in design features robust latch towers for module alignment. Module latching has an audible click detent that signals proper engagement. Dual ejectors allow easy module removal as well as positive alignment of the memory module prior to contact engagement. Solder tail length options accommodate various pc board thicknesses. Three keying options allow for 3.3V, 2.5V, or 1.8V voltage modules. Pricing is typically $0.004 per contact/10,000.
