Dual-Shaft Switch Performs Multiple Control Functions

The RDS Series multi-function switch has dual shafts that enable the device to serve applications requiring multiple control functions. The device's outer shaft offers 360º endless rotation with an integrated spring return jog. It offers rotational torque of 6.8 mNm and a 100,000-cycle lifespan. The inner shaft features an outer four-way switch with a center push switch. That shaft's rotational torque is 1.75 Nm and it offers a 50,000-cycle lifespan.The switch is rated at 5 vdc and 10 mA and has an operating temperature range of -10ºC to 60ºC. Termination options are flex tail or pc board pins; a knob is also optional.
