Eight-Channel PC104 Delivers More For Less

July 1, 2002

Described as a low-cost PC/104 utility board, the eight-channel Model 104-IIRO-8 provides a fairly comprehensive feature set. These include change-of-state detection, optically isolated digital inputs, and eight electromechanical-relay outputs. The inputs accept either 3 to 30 Vdc or ac frequencies from 45 Hz to 10 kHz. A jumper-selectable slow/fast filter is included on each input that must be activated for ac signals in order to eliminate zero crossing response. These filters may also be used for slow dc inputs in noisy environments. Other features of the board include software-controlled interrupts, eight buffered general-purpose TTL inputs, an operating temperature range from 0°C to 50°C, and relative humidity range of 0% to 90%. Including software, price is $180 each. ACCES I/O PRODUCTS INC., San Diego, CA. (858) 550-9559.
