Intended for use in dirty environments or areas that need to be continually disinfected or cleaned, this elastomeric keypad is easy to clean and is designed for applications where cutting and polishing of various materials produces a residue that settles over the operator station. The elastomeric material is also chemical-resistant.The assembly includes the firm’s Flex/Touch membrane switch and provides ESD shielding. Options ranging from pc boards to special display windows and lenses or surface-mount LEDs, can be incorporated as required.
