Embedded: Air-Cooled CompactPCI SBC Serves Up Dual Gbit Ethernet Links

Rugged-environment operation is the bailiwick of the PPC G4C 6U board. It includes a PowerPC 7457 with AltiVec support and a pair of PICMG 2.16 Gigabit Ethernet links. Options can be added via a pair of 64-bit PCI mezzanine card (PMC) slots. The board can handle up to 1 Gbyte of SDRAM, 64 kbytes of NOVRAM, and 128 Mbytes of flash memory. The board also contains four serial ports. The PPC G4C costs $7100.
