The AME-51 is a full featured evaluation kit that allows designers to integrate ARM7TMDI-based 4050/4060 Series Advantage Microcontrollers into designs. Based on the ARM 32-bit architecture, the kit is a complete plug-and-play evaluation environment designed for modular expansion. All signals from the microcontroller are brought to headers on the edge of the evaluation board to permit expansion and signal probing. The board contains an I2C temperature sensor, an analog potentiometer tied to the ADC, two RS-232 connectors, a 7-segment LED, additional user LEDs and pushbutton switches. All system operating modes can be configured through on-board switch settings. Support and development tools include IAR Systems development and debug environment, a full JTAG debug capability via a USB connection, source code for device peripherals and Flash-programming tools. The board is powered through the USB, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. The kit is compatible with Microsoft Windows and is supported by software development tools from IAR Systems. Price is $249. OKI SEMICONDUCTOR, Sunnyvale, CA. (408) 737-6347.
