Filters Need No Connectors

Nov. 1, 1999

Microstrip-Launched Filters eliminate the need for traditional connectorized filters in many microwave and RF assemblies. For applications from 1 to 20 GHz, the filters offer low-loss transitions, reduced ground loops, and high isolation shielding. Types of filtering include bandpass, lowpass, highpass, and bandreject. Operating temperature range is from -55°C to 95°C. Space requirements are just two-thirds of traditional filters. Devices will attach to pc boards with epoxy or solder reflow at up to 235°C. Interconnects can be wire bond, gap weld or solder.
