Housed in 8-pin SOIC and DFN packages, the FM25L16 16-Kb, serial peripheral interface (SPI) nonvolatile ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM) operates at 3V and runs at speeds up to 20 MHz. Both packages are green, lead-free versions, compliant with EC RoHS requirements. Other features include no write delays and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Designed to fit into compact telematics and car infotainment systems with limited available board space, the DFN version measures just 3 mm x 6.4 mm and 0.75 mm in height.
