Designed to increase the current handling capability of many applications, high-density Schottky rectifiers come in three case sizes that can reduce board space used. The devices are designed for use in commercial, industrial, computer and automotive applications, such as dc/dc and ac/dc converters, PCMCIA cards, and cellular phones. The SMA case handles 2A, the SMB case handles 3A, and the SMC case handles 5A, with current increased by 1A for the first two and 2A for the latter, compared with conventional devices.
