The I2CXpress, a USB2.0-connected I2C protocol exerciser/analyzer, supports all I2C protocol interfaces in low-speed (10 kb/s), standard (100 kb/s), and fast (400 kb/s) modes. For advanced systems, Fast (greater than 1 Mb/s) mode is also supported.

The instrument can be used as a bus master as well as an analyzer and comes with 8PI Control Panel software that provides a visual PC interface and a TCL/tk scripting environment, giving access to a C/C++ DLL as well as the graphical interface. The I2CXpress measures 3.5" x 2" x 0.75" and weighs less than 3oz. Designed for chip-to-chip communication emulation at 3.3V LVTTL/LVCMOS, it can also operate at lower voltages. A plug-in board, the PLG-LCS-007, is available for accommodating higher bus voltages from 4V to 7V. Price is $699 each.
