Nicknamed "Mailman" keyboards, the OIX7005B and OIX7105B not only shrug off snow, rain, heat, darkness and dirt, they can also withstand 11-ms shock pulses up to 50 gravities (1,610 ft/sec2). Sealed in silicone rubber and fully operational from –40°F to +194°F, the keyboards sport backlit keys that aid typing in low-light areas. A slightly tilted surface makes the OIX7105B easier for touch typists to use, and threaded mounting holes in the base make it easy to mount on a tray or pedestal. The 0.83" height of the OIX7005B makes it suitable for placement in a 1U rack drawer. Both units can be used on a desktop or benchtop, and both come with an integral three-button HulaPoint pointing device. Each draws 30 mA at 5 Vdc for low power consumption. Pricing for either model is $595 each. CYBERRESEARCH INC., Branford, CT. (800) 341-2525.
