Industrial Computing Board Comes In Half-Size Form Factor

In the VIPer824, designers will find a full-featured, PC/104-compatible industrial single-board computer in a half-size form factor. The unit delivers Intel Pentium processing power with 512 kbytes of L2 synchronous pipelined burst cache, up to 256 Mbytes of FPM or EDO memory (parity/non-parity or ECC), high-performance PCI EIDE, and CompactFlash disk support. It also features a Chips & Technologies PCI 64-bit CRT/flat panel video controller with 2 Mbytes of SDRAM. Included with the board is an Award BIOS in boot-block flash with emergency recovery code. There's also support for keyboard-less, diskless or video-less operation. All standard I/O is on the board, including support for serial and parallel ports, hard disks, floppy disks and USB. Supervisory circuits include watchdog timer and more.
