Expanding the company's Ethernet switch offerings for industrial network infrastructures, the 852 Series adds four members, the five-port 852-101, eight-port 852-102, eight-port 852-103 with two additional SFP module ports, and the seven-port 852-104, ranging from simple Ethernet switches to configurable, multifunction communication switches. Shared features include a rugged housing, an operating temperature range from 0°C to +60°C, vibration resistance meeting IEC 60068-2-6, shock resistance as per IEC 60068-2-27, plus function monitoring and redundant voltage supplies ranging from 9V to 48V. The 852-101, -102 and -103 switches feature a DIP switch for enabling alarm functions, compliance with IEEE 802.3 and 802.3u standards, non-blocking, store-and-forward switching, auto-negotiation on all 10/100 Base TX ports, and auto-MDI/MDIX (crossover) on all 10/100 Base TX ports. Operational status LEDs are also on board. The 852-104 switch adds web-based/SNMP management, compliance with IEEE 802.3x, 802.1d, 802.1q, and 802.1p standards, Xpress Ring, VLAN (802.1q) VID, IGMP snooping for multicast filtering, port configuration, status, and statistics, port trunking, and SNMP v1/v2 with RMON.
