The problem of sharing complex design data is addressed with InterComm, an Internet communications concept that provides access for any member of a design team to the schematic and pc board EDA data without the need for the host EDA design tools.

The problem of sharing complex design data is addressed with InterComm, an Internet communications concept that provides access for any member of a design team to the schematic and pc board EDA data without the need for the host EDA design tools. Expanding the software's capabilities for full EDA support is said to provide simple access to corporate IP contained in the schematic CAE as well as the pc board CAD design. The program contains a robust set of commands to help engineers browse the schematic. And because the software is browsing technology, the tool is independent of specific EDA tools. It can be used to see schematics remotely, query critical signals, and cross-highlight between the schematic and physical layout.
