The XT 5524E single-board computer (SBC) is now compatible with the company's ZT 5088E and ZT 5085E PICMG 2.16 platforms. Offering single-slot occupancy, the board features single or dual 933-MHz Pentium III processors. Up to 4 Gbytes of SDRAM and 512 kbytes of L2 cache are included. Increased management capabilities and reliability are possible because it's IPMI-based (intelligent platform management interface). The ZT 5524E board pairs can be used in redundant host mode. This configuration yields a high-availability, low-latency fail-over solution for both legacy CompactPCI-based architectures and PICMG 2.16-based packet-switched architectures. Available now, the ZT 5524E SBC with the 933-MHz Pentium III processor is priced at $2995.
